Maputo International School (MIS) is Mozambique's first international school, established in 1976. For nearly five decades, MIS has provided high-quality international education to students froma diverse range of nationalities, fostering an inclusive, multicultural nvironment where academic excellence and personal development go hand in hand. Located in the heart of Maputo, the school offers education for students aged 3 to 18, following the internationally recognised Cambridge curriculum and preparing learners for universities and careers around the world

Our school rules focus on being polite, using common sense, and staying safe. We expect everyone to behave well and dress appropriately. If students don't follow these rules or struggle with their work, we address it seriously.

Academic Programme

Maputo International School provides a complete educational journey from Early Years through to university preparation. The school uses de cambridge curriculum

a. Key Stage 1 -Early Years - 3 to 5 years _ Pre School A, Pre- school B and Reception A nurturing environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and early development through play-based learning.

b. Key Stage 2- Cambridge Primary - Grade 1 to Grade 6 Building strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and essential learning skills.

c. Key Stage 3- Cambridge Lower Secondary - Grade 7 to Grade 9 Developing critical thinking, independence, and academic confidence across all subject areas.

d. Key Stage 4 - Cambridge IGCSE Grade 10 and 11 An internationally recognised programme that prepares students for advanced study

e. Key Stage 5- Cambridge International AS & A Levels - Grade 12 & 13 Rigorous academic programmes that provide excellent preparation for universities worldwide.
